Buying a car
Do your cars come with a roadworthy certificate?
Yes. Every vehicle we sell comes with a valid roadworthy certificate.
Can I test drive a car before I buy?
Yes. Visit us at 1 Merlot Avenue, Blouberg during trading hours, or book a test drive so the car is ready when you arrive.
Is the price on the website the final price?
The listed price is the selling price of the vehicle. Ask us for a full breakdown including any licensing and registration costs before you commit.
Can I reserve a car?
Speak to our sales team. We can usually hold a car for a short period while your finance is being approved.
Do you deliver outside Cape Town?
Contact us to discuss delivery or collection arrangements for buyers outside the Cape Town area.
Finance
Do you arrange vehicle finance?
Yes. We arrange finance through the major South African banks. See our vehicle finance page to apply for pre-approval and estimate your repayments.
What documents do I need for finance?
Your ID, latest 3 months of payslips and bank statements, and proof of address. Self employed buyers need financial statements or 6 months of bank statements.
Can I use my current car as a deposit?
Yes, a trade in can go towards your deposit.
Selling or trading in
Do you buy cars?
Yes. We buy good quality used cars, bakkies and SUVs. Get an offer for your car.
Can I sell a car that still has finance on it?
Yes. We settle the outstanding amount with your bank as part of the deal.

Where are you located?
1 Merlot Avenue, Blouberg, Cape Town. We are close to Table View, Parklands, Milnerton, Sunningdale and Melkbosstrand.
What are your trading hours?
Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:30, Saturday 08:30 to 13:30. Closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Were you previously Umpini Motors?
Yes. Umpini Motors is now Ump Motors. Same team, new name and a new website at umpmotors.co.za.
